Reliance Jio to launch 4G LTE services on December 28

Reliance Jio, the pan India BWA operator is planning to launch 4G LTE services on December 28, 2013.

28 December is the birth anniversary of late Dhirubhai Ambani. On this date, Mukesh Ambani, CMD, Reliance Industries would like to dedicate Reliance Jio broadband services to his late father, the great Dhirubhai Ambani.

A questionnaire was sent by TeleAnalysis to Reliance Jio with respect to the launch of 4G LTE services but there was no response from Reliance Jio spokesperson.

Initially, the services will be launched in Reliance Corporate Park (RCP) and parts of Mumbai. Later on the services will be launched in major parts of metro cities of Mumbai and Delhi followed by state capitals and large towns. The company has very ambitious plan on BWA.

Reliance Jio is laying its own fiber network and has also signed network sharing agreements with Reliance Communications (RCOM) and Bharti Airtel. The company has also plans to launch FTTH (fiber to the home) services and the company is aggressively fiberizing residential colonies.

Recently, RJIL has been issued 22 million numbers paving way for the company to launch its services on December 28, 2013. Initially, Reliance Jio will launch 4G services free of cost but will later charge for broadband services once the network stabilizes.
