Scandid voted best startup in Seedstars World Competition

Scandid voted best startup in the Seedstars World (SSW) competition held at Leela Palace in Bangalore.

20 Indian startups competed during the regional event of Seedstar World, Bangalore. Buyhatke, an online shopping Indian store with dynamic price comparison won the second place followed by ParallelDots, which uses Machine Learning to create timeline of any event was at the third place.

As a regional winner, Scandid will be invited to Geneva in February to compete with all the other regional winners globally, as part of Seedstars World Final Event.

Rohit Mehta, product design lead, Scandid said, “Seedstars World was an amazing event! The competition, especially those that made up the podium alongside Scandid, were excellent and we’re looking forward to meeting all the global entrepreneurs in Geneva!”

Vikram Ahuja, partner, Kyron Global Accelerator and jury member said, “We look forward to organizing similar events in the future, which would provide young entrepreneurs access to global audiences. We also look forward to continuing our association with Seedstars and promoting their worldwide startup initiatives.”

SSW teamed up with Seedstars Asia partner Galixo, a boutique consultancy based in Singapore working with startups in developing their business strategy and entering new markets at global level. CEO and jury member Raphael Dana stated, “Seedstars Bangalore featured amazing startups solving local issues but also some scalable models for global opportunities.”

The next stop of the tour is Seedstars Tokyo on the 25th of July. It continues on to Seoul, Bangkok, Ho Chi Minh, Manila, Jakarta, Singapore, Shanghai, Sydney, Mexico City, Bogota, Lima, Santiago, Buenos Aires and Sao Paulo.
