Q. Given that the future of IT and communications is going to be software defined, what are the current updates in the Open Source communication space?

Open Source is now pervasive and advancement of IP has given way to new communication & collaboration techniques. Q. What are the challenges of the CIO from the Open Source based enterprise communications infrastructure perspective?

Interoperability among products and multi-vendor solutions is a key challenge that needs to be addressed, while ensuring that these solutions work together with applications created by third-party developers. Another important concern is the quality of service (QoS), since the network handles multiple collaborations and application platforms and third is the maintenance/support, security and protection against malicious attacks.

While considering communications systems, the fundamental point is to evaluate the value proposition of each vendor offering these solutions and second, the deployment models that they require, like: on-premise, cloud-based or a hybrid solution.

Q. How is Unified Communication changing the business ecosystem in India? What are the latest trends of UC market?
