Tele2 Netherlands CEO leaves

Tele2 AB (Tele2) has announced that Gunther Vogelpoel, executive vice president and CEO of Tele2 Netherlands has decided to leave the company.

Ernst Jan van Rooijen, CFO, Tele2 Netherlands has been appointed acting CEO of Tele2 Netherlands, effective as of today. He will become member of the Tele2 AB leadership team until a replacement has been recruited.

Gunther Vogelpoel joined Tele2 in 1999 and has held several senior positions within marketing, sales, customer operations and worked both for Tele2 Netherlands and Pan-European for Tele2 Group. He held the position as CEO of Tele2 Netherlands and EVP of the Tele2 Group since early 2011.

His extensive experience and understanding of the telecom industry has been of great value to the business and I wish him all the best in his future endeavors.”
