Sunil Lalvani Quits Qualcomm

Sunil Lalvani, Qualcomm’s India head has quit the company. Though reasons are unknown of his leaving the company, company insiders say he might start his own venture.

Parag Kar, currently serving as Vice-president, Government Affairs at Qualcomm India and an industry veteran will serve as the interim head of India while the company will keep looking for a permanent replacement.

Lalvani who had joined Qualcomm from BlackBerry India where he served as managing director, spent a little over a year in the San Diego based chip maker.

Sunil had joined Qualcomm India in July 2015 replacing Avneesh Agarwal who quit after serving the company for 21 years to start his own venture. As of now, Agarwal has not announced of any such venture.

Lalvani had come to Qualcomm with more than 20 years of experience in various roles and has worked with some of the global technology companies like Cisco, EMC and Nokia.
