RealMe Partners Reliance Jio Stores, Starts Offline Sale

Realme, once a subsidiary of Oppo and a mid segment smartphone brand, has started its offline journey with a big bang partnership with Reliance Retail. That means RealMe phones will now be available in Reliance Digital stores besides being available at online channel partners like Flipkart and Amazon.

“This initiative is a part of the brand’s commitment towards ‘Realme for every Indian’, bringing products packed with power and style closer to consumers,” the company said in a statement.

In the first phase of the partnership, the smartphones will be available at more than 130 cities across Reliance Digital & My Jio stores pan India.

“Realme as a young brand is committed to delivering a differentiated experience to its customers with products that deliver power and style. With the Reliance Digital & MyJio partnership, we are proud to have offline touch points for the first time, delivering the same experience and welcoming customers to the Realme family. While the market responded well, we are expanding our sales channels to reach out to the growing demands which is a testimony to our approach for every Indian,” said Madhav Sheth, Chief Executive Officer, Realme India.

“Through this partnership, we want to cater to the audience who have limited access to the online platform and want to experience, compare and understand the features and benefits before making a purchase decision”, he added.

The smartphone brand in India has adopted an online first approach as India is the most emerging online market in the world. With overwhelming response from consumers towards Realme offerings, it becomes imperative for the company to expand sales channels to reach out to more customers.
