Oppo’s Latest Smartphone Find X Launched In Paris

Chinese smartphone maker Oppo has launched its latest smartphone, the Find X, at the Louvre Museum in Paris today. With the launch of the Find X, Oppo also officially announced its entrance into the European market to broaden Oppo’s overseas presence. France, Italy, Spain and the Netherlands are the first four European markets slated for Oppo products.

The Oppo Find X is powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 845 mobile platform and comes in a 6.42-inch arc screen with screen aspect ratio of 93.8 percent.  The smartphone sports 16MP and 20MP Dual Cameras.

The Find X features Oppo’s “O-Face” facial recognition technology that uses structured light for facial identification. The technology is 20x more secure than fingerprint security and is useful for mobile payments. Oppo’s O-Face technology also provides users more lifelike and natural 3D camera effects for superior photo editing and Omoji 3D facial expression functionality for social and chat apps.

During the event in Paris, Oppo also announced a global, strategic partnership with Automobili Lamborghini, the makers of Lamborghini luxury cars and launched a co-branded edition of Find X. This is the first exclusive strategic partnership between a leading smartphone brand and a premium supercar brand.

The partnership between Oppo and Automobili Lamborghini covers a broad range of areas, including product, design, technology, business operations, and marketing. The cooperation will not only provide users around the world more powerful products, but it will also benefit the automobile and smartphone industries, helping them to deepen advancements in smart technologies.

The Oppo Find X Automobili Lamborghini Edition, collaboration between the two companies, supports SuperVOOC Flash Charge technology and displays gradient carbon fiber texture which crafted by special technique. In the future, Oppo and Automobili Lamborghini will continue to explore the possibilities of using Oppo VOOC technology in Automobili Lamborghini sports cars.

With the entry to European markets including France, Italy, Spain, and the Netherlands, Oppo plans to expand to more markets in Europe step by step. To gain a greater understanding of the needs of European consumers, Oppo will set up teams with 90 percent of the staff coming from local regions, the company said in a statement.
