Narendra Modi to launch Make in India website

narendra_modi-make-in-indiaPrime Minister of India, Narendra Modi will launch Make in India program and website tomorrow during a function organized at Vigyan Bhawan in New Delhi.

Make in India is a major new initiative designed to facilitate investment and build best-in-class manufacturing infrastructure in India. The website address of the site is http://www.makeinindia.com. Attendees can have a look at Make in India website after the launch by capturing QR code from their invitation card which will take them directly to the website.

Also present along with Narendra Modi will be Arun Jaitely, union minister of finance, defence and corporate affairs and Nirmala Sitharaman, minister of state for commerce and industry, finance and corporate affairs.

The home page of the site has a message from Narendra Modi which says, “I want to appeal to people the world over: come, Make in India. Come, manufacture in India. Sell in any country of the world, but manufacture here. We have the skill, talent, discipline and determination. We want to give the world an opportunity to come here – to come and Make in India.”

The function will be attended by around 1,000 CEOs from across the country from different verticals and is supported by industry associations- CII, FICCI and Assocham. The function is organized by department of industrial policy & promotion, ministry of commerce & industry.
