MTS launches Digital Utsav in Kolkata

Sistema Shyam TeleServices (SSTL), which provides telecom services under the MTS brand has announced the launch of an exciting campaign – MTS Digital Utsav, adding to the Durga Pujo celebrations in Kolkata.

The campaign has been specially designed to harvest the power of the digital medium for two special initiatives- MTS Street Food Festival and MTS Digital Pujo Awards.

As part of MTS Street Food Festival, MTS has taken up a unique initiative of showcasing and acknowledging the diverse street food that Kolkata is famous. MTS is providing an opportunity to general public to select their favourite food stall amongst more than 1,500 street food stalls serving delicacies like phuchka, telebhaja, chinese, tandoor and south Indian cuisines across the city.

The winner outlets will be awarded with cash prize and certificates. An exclusive Street Food Guide will also be launched in a event where the winner outlets will be facilitated.

In a path breaking on ground-online connected initiative, MTS is launching ‘MTS Digital Pujo Awards’, the first ever Facebook voted Pujo award where the digital generation gets to decide their favourite Pujo Pandal.

MTS will be installing special Facebook Like-o-meters in more than 100 Pandals across the city. Puja goers can register on spot, collect Radio Frequency Identification (RFID) bands connected to their Facebook IDs and cast their votes for their favorite pandal by simply tapping their RFID bands on the MTS Like-o-meters.

At the end of the campaign, the top 3 andals will be given cash rewards with the winner getting a sum of Rs 1 lakh. Lucky customers who vote will also stand to win smartphones, Wi-Fi routers, TV and other exciting prizes.

Both MTS Street Food Festival and MTS Digital Pujo Awards are avant-garde initiatives that will take brand MTS closer to our customers.”
