MediaTek keen to expand in India

MK TMediaTek-keen-to-expand-in-Indiasai, global chairman of MediaTek is keen to expand its presence in India thanks to new investment friendly climate and initiatives like Digital India.

Meeting with minister for communications and IT, Ravi Shankar Prasad, MK Tsai shared his commitment to make technology more accessible for people and said that MediaTek is keen to expand its presence in India.

The minister shared with MK Tsai the Digital India vision and how it has opened up new avenues and opportunities in the field of technology. Initiatives like Make in India and Smart Cities coupled with liberalization of defence manufacturing has created a great demand for technology solutions and hardware in India.

This along with the young population, economical workforce and business friendly government has made India a great investment destination, added Prasad.

The minister also shared the government’s vision to create more IT hubs in small towns. He shared with MK Tsai, his vision of opening BPO centers in rural areas. This would propel the growth of India and bring prosperity to the lesser developed parts of India.
