Woman Fires At YouTube HQ, 1 Dead, 4 Injured

A woman allegedly opened fire at the YouTube Headquarters in California with a handgun leaving at least four people injured. The female shooter, it is believed, has also killed herself during the incident.

The local police at San Bruno, the place where the incident happened, said when they reached the YouTube headquarters, they found a woman has died during the incident. The police further added the dead woman is believed to be the shooter and might have killed herself.

The incident happened around lunch time, 12.40 PM on Tuesday, when a woman in her late 30s opened fire at the poeple near the food court. The police, responding to numerous 911 calls, reached by 12.48 and discovered a dead woman and YouTube employees running helter and skelter.

The incident also left four people injured who are being treated at the local San Francisco General Hospital. The injured persons included a 36 year old man in critical condition, a 32 year old woman in serious condition and a 27 year woman in fair condition.

Neither the female shooter nor the injured are identified by the police. Authorities also did not release their names.

Google CEO Sundar Pichai showed deep concern over the incident and offered all kind of support to his employees.

There are no words to describe the tragedy that occurred today. @SusanWojcicki & I are focused on supporting our employees & the @YouTube community through this difficult time together. Thank you to the police & first responders for their efforts, and to all for msgs of support,” Pichai commented on Tweeter.

President Donald Trump tweeted his comment where he thanked the law enforcement agencies for their quick response in the YouTube headquarters shooting incident.

Was just briefed on the shooting at YouTube’s HQ in San Bruno, California. Our thoughts and prayers are with everybody involved. Thank you to our phenomenal Law Enforcement Officers and First Responders that are currently on the scene,” he tweeted.
