Huawei opens R&D center in France

Huawei is increasing its base in Europe in last couple of years and has opened a new R&D center in France.

The research & development center is located in Sophia Antipolis Technology Park, 25 Km south west of Nice which is a hub of skilled engineers in the field of electronic devices and software.

The R&D center will focus on smartphone development and lay stress on chipset design, smartphone camera quality, boosting Image Signal Processor (ISP) and also focus on micro-electronics and device software.

Huawei has hired 20 engineers for Nice center and another ten engineers will join the team by year-end and plans are to integrate first smartphone chipset by 2015.

Going strong in Europe, the company has 17 facilities in eight countries –  Britain, Belgium, Finland, France, Germany, Ireland, Italy and Sweden.
