Felix Mohan, Sr VP and global CISO leaves Bharti Airtel

Felix Mohan, senior vice president and global chief information security officer (CISO) has left Bharti Airtel.

Commenting on the development, Bharti Airtel spokesperson said, “Felix Mohan has left the organisation.”

An old veteran, Felix Mohan was with Bharti Airtel from October, 2006 onwards. At Airtel, Felix ensured that information security and IT align with changes to the risk environment and business needs. He focused on information security, business continuity, compliance and managed security services.

Previously, he was CEO at a security consulting firm, an advisor with a Big-4 consulting firm, and head of IT and security in Indian Navy. He was a member of India’s national Task Force on Information Security and co-chair of the Indo-US Cybersecurity Forum.

In 1998, he was awarded the Vishisht Seva Medal by the president of India for innovative work done in the field of information security while working for Indian Navy.

In December, this is the second high level exit from Bharti Airtel. Recently, Dr Jai Menon, group CIO, Bharti Enterprises Group and director, Global Innovation and IT has also left Airtel.
