Druva gets $25 mn funding led by Sequoia

Druva has received an additional funding of $25 million in Series-D) led by Sequoia Capital with Nexus Venture Partners and Tenaya Capital.

The funding wil help Druva to expand focus on product and international markets, especially northern Europe and Asia.

Druva is poised at an interesting crossroads at the intersection of mobility and cloud. Over the past few years, Druva began as a backup solution for the mobile workforce, and have become a larger data governance play. As the company grew it helped IT not just to mitigate the risk of data loss, but also to use the organization’s collected information to gain deep visibility, manage legal holds, and enable eDiscovery.

The Series-D funding is only 9 months after Druva raised series-C of $25 million, and cumulatively, the company has collected $67 million till date.  In the past year, Druva had some great customer wins, like Pfizer, Dell, Shire and many others.

Druva was formed in 2008 to focus on data protection solution for the enterprise: one that could handle the fast growing demands of end user mobility while reducing IT’s workload. inSync is that solution, providing a fully-integrated, easy-to-use platform for enterprise-wide data protection and governance.
