Bharti Infratel Q2 revenues at Rs 2,864 crore, up 5 percent

Bharti Infratel consolidated revenues for the second quarter stood at Rs 2,864 crore, up 5 percent over the corresponding period last year.

Consolidated EBITDA improved to Rs 1,076 crore up 13 percent Y-o-Y, representing an operating margin of 40.1 percent and consolidated EBIT at Rs 540 crore, witnessed a 34 percent Y-o-Y growth.

Consolidated profit before tax at Rs 464 crore, grew 27 percent Y-o-Y and consolidated profit after tax came in at Rs 277 crore, up by 12 percent Y-o-Y.

Consolidated Operating Free Cash Flow for the quarter was at Rs 737 crore which represents an increase of 109 percent over the corresponding period last year on account of higher operating income and lower capex in the current quarter.

Akhil Gupta, vice chairman & managing director, Bharti Infratel said, “With regulatory environment in telecom sector showing sings of stabilizing and data revenues witnessing strong growth, the operators have started focusing on faster rollout of 3G networks. We expect this momentum to increase in coming quarters. Our business model remains robust and once again demonstrates significant incremental financial gains from increased sharing of our infrastructure.”

The total tower base stood at 82,476 along with 159,997 co-locations with an average sharing factor at 1.93.
