Airtel Brings 90-day Free 4G Data Offer On Prepaid, To Extend To Postpaid Soon

Airtel-Launches-4G-In-Chidambaram,-Sriperumbudur-And-KaraikudiThe 4G game is getting hotter for sure. In what could be seen as a befitting reply to Reliance Jio’s welcome offer where it gives free services to its users for 90 days, country’s largest operator Airtel Friday launched a similar offer giving its users free 4G data access for next three months.

This offer is available for both existing as well as new subscribers of Airtel services. Existing users have to pay Rs 1495 to avail the offer whereas new users will get it for Rs 1494.

Though the offer is for Airtel’s prepaid users, a company executive said it may soon be extended to postpaid users as well.

“Some exciting offers like this are coming on postpaid plans too,” said the executive.

In this offer a user, both prepaid as well postpaid, will get a total 30 GB of 4G data. The user has the flexibility to use it over a period of 90 days or in a single day. Once the 30 GB quote is over, industry’s Fair Usage Policy will be applied which means the data speed will drop to 2G.

β€œAt Airtel, we are focused on providing great value to customers. Customers with 4G handsets generally consume large amounts of data and this proposition is specifically aimed at them. With this pack these customers can stay online round the clock without having to worry about exhausting their data limits or going for frequent recharges,” said Ajai Puri, Director – Operations (India & South Asia), Bharti Airtel.

The pack is currently available in Delhi and will be launched across other circles over the next few days, Airtel said in a statement.
