Meenu Handa To Join Google As Comms Chief

Meenu-Handa-To-Join-Google-As-Comms-ChiefMeenu Handa, presently heading corporate communications for Amazon India will join Google India as head of corporate communications.

Meenu has been associated with PR and communication industry for over 22 years and is currently heading corporate communications for Amazon in India.

She is currently the director, Corporate Communications for Amazon in India and her responsibilities include launching the marketplace model, developing and managing strategic internal and external communications plus creating a CSR program.

Prior to this, Meenu was with Microsoft India for more than 7 years and led their internal communications, external communications and citizenship strategy. She was awarded the Chairman’s Award for Excellence in 2010. She also headed the Diversity and Inclusion charter for Microsoft India’s sales and marketing group.

Before Microsoft, Meenu spent 15 years at IPAN Hill & Knowlton and worked for clients like Hindustan Levers, Boeing, Nokia, Swatch Group, Citibank, HCL, Star TV, CRY, FDCI, among others on messaging, positioning, crisis, issues management, public affairs, marketing communications and advocacy. Over the years she set up the marketing communications practice; devised a proprietary PR measurement tool; and set up an independent news dissemination profit centre for IPAN.

Meenu was conferred the Corporate Affairs Leadership Award for 2013 by the Corporate Affairs Forum under the aegis of World CSR congress held in Mumbai in February 2013. Meenu’s interests include reading, traveling and adventure sports like diving.
