Vivo Y55S With 13 MP Camera, 3 GB RAM Launched For 12,490

Vivo today launched its latest smartphone Vivo Y55S. This is the second phone from the Chinese company to be launched in 2017, the 1st one being the Vivo V5 Plus.

The Vivo Y55s is a dual SIM 4G phone and is priced Rs 12,490.

The Y55S is the upgraded version of Vivo Y55L that was launched in October last year. The Y55S comes in 5.2 inch screen size with HD display having 1280×720 pixel resolution and is covered with a 2.5D glass. The phone is powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 425 processor coupled with 3GB RAM and 16 GB internal storage space. The storage space, however, can be expanded up to 256 GB using micro SD cards.

The Vivo Y55S sports a 13 megapixel primary camera with autofocus and flash features. The phone also comes with a 5 megapixel camera at the front. The smartphone carries a 2730 mAh battery.

The Vivo Y55s runs on company’s own Funtouch OS that is built upon Android Marshmallow. The Vivo Y55S also comes with ‘Smart Screen-Split’ feature that allows users to multi-task without having to switch back and forth every time a message pops up. Users can chat and watch videos simultaneously on one screen without causing strain to the eyes with the “Eye Protection Mode.

After the success of Vivo V5 Plus, we hereby strengthen our Y series portfolio with the launch of this power packed device, the Y55s. We at Vivo are motivated by our endeavor to consistently set industry benchmarks by offering best in class features at affordable prices. Focused on our commitment in servicing customer satisfaction through quality products, we are hopeful that our latest innovation will be as successful as our previous offerings. We are confident that Vivo will have a great run in the year 2017,” said Kent Cheng, CEO of Vivo India.
