Vivo X9s, X9s Plus launched, features dual selfie camera

Vivo has launched the successor to last years X9 and X9 Plus smartphones in China yesterday. Vivo X9s and Vivo X9s Plus are both selfie camera focused phone sporting dual front camera with 20 megapixel and 5 megapixel mix. They are priced at Chinese currency equivalent of Rs 25,665 and 28,520 respectively. The X9s Plus will go on sale from July 8 while X9s will go on sale from July 20. The smartphones come in gold, rose gold and matte black colour variants. No dates for India launch has been announced.

Front camera of the phones also feature soft LED flash and f/2.0 aperture. The rear camera setup consists of a 16-megapixel shooter with f/2.0, PDAF and a LED flash.

The Vivo X9s has a metal unibody design and features a 5.5-inch full HD AMOLED display with a resolution of 1080 x 1920 pixels. It is powered by 1.8GHz Octa-Core (Quad 1.8GHz ARM Cortex A72 + Quad 1.2GHz A53) Snapdragon 652 processor, along with Adreno 510 GPU. Both get 4GB RAM, and 64GB of internal storage. The smartphone runs on Android 7.1 Nougat which is wrapped under Funtouch OS 3.1 and also houses a fingerprint scanner which is embedded in its home button.

The battery duty is done by a 3320mAh unit with fast charging. Besides, Vivo X9s offers Dual SIM 4G with VoLTE, WiFi (802.11 ac), Bluetooth 4.2, GPS and 3.5mm audio jack. The handset measures 152.6×74.2×6.99mm and weighs 154 grams.

On the other hand, the Vivo X9s Plus features a larger 5.85-inch (1080 x 1920 pixels) Full HD AMOLED display. It is powered by an Octa Core (Quad 1.95GHz ARM Cortex A72 + Quad 1.44GHz A53) Snapdragon 653 processor, along with Adreno 510 GPU.As the Plus moniker suggests the phone gets a bigger 4015mAh battery with fast charging feature. The handset measures 162.59 × 78.84 × 7.25mm. Rest of the specifications are similar to the Vivo X9s smartphone.
