Motorola To Launch Moto G7 In India Soon

Motorola is planning to launch Moto G7, a mid-end smartphone in its Moto G series in the coming weeks. The company released a teaser of the new device in its Twitter account yesterday.

The tweet reads “Make that Monday look count for you coz the sexy #motog7 is coming soon! Share your pictures showing how #stylematterstoyou to win it.”

The Moto G7, part of its G Series of smartphones that includes G7 Power, Moto G7 Plus and Moto G7 Play, was launched in Brazil early this year. Of these the Moto G7 Power has already been launched in India and now the G7 is making its way to country.

The company, however, did not mention when the smartphone will be launched or what will be its price for the India Market.

The Moto G7 comes with a 6.2-inch Full HD+ display with a resolution of 1080 x 2270 pixels. The phone is protected with Corning Gorilla Glass. The smartphone is powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 632 octa-core processor and comes with 4GB RAM and 64 GB of internal storage capacity. Provision of expanding storage via microSD cards is also there.

The phone comes with dual camera set up with 12-megapixel primary rear camera with f/1.8 aperture, LED flash and a 5-megapixel secondary camera with f/2.2 aperture. It also has a front camera of 8 megapixel with f/2.2 aperture.

This new device is dual SIM 4G smartphone and runs on Android 9 Pie operating system. The phone carries 3,000mAh battery and is water and dust resistant.

The Moto G7 sports a rear-mounted fingerprint sensor and supports Face Unlock.

Motorola, once an iconic brand and a strong force in the smartphone arena, of late appeared defocused in the Indian market. Though it had made a grand re-entry to the Indian smartphone market with the launch of Moto e four years back, the brand failed to maintain that momentum and started loosing out to newer brands like Xiaomi. At present, the company does not even have a market share of more than 2%.
