Moto C Plus with bigger battery now available for Rs 6,999

Motorola has launched an upgrade of Moto C, with Moto C Plus. The smartphone sports much bigger 4000 mAH battery and also gets better 8 megapixel camera compared to 5 mega pixel of the former. Most of the other specs remain the same. For this extra battery you will need to shell out Rs 1000 extra. Moto C Plus is priced at Rs 6,999 and is available only through Flipkart. Moto C, priced at Rs 5,999 was launched in India on June 2.


The Moto C Plus features a 5-inch HD display and is powered by a 1.3GHz quad-core MediaTek MT6737 processor along with Mali-T720 GPU. The phone is backed by a 1GB/2GB of RAM and has a 16GB of internal storage, which can be further expanded up to 32GB via microSD card slot.

8-megapixel rear camera comes with LED flash, f/2.2aperture and there is also a 2-megapixel front-facing camera for selfies and video calling. The phone runs on the latest Android 7.0 Nougat and comes loaded with an impressive 4000mAh battery.


On the connectivity front, it supports 4G VoLTE, WiFi 802.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth 4.2, GPS and micro USB port. It measures 144x 72.3x 10 mm and weighs 162 grams.


Moto C Plus competes with the likes of Xiaomi Redmi 4 2GB, Karbonn Aura Power 4G Plus, Micromax Evok Power all of which are priced in the same price band and offer 4000 mAH or bigger battery. In terms of other specs Xiaomi Redmi 4 looks better on paper. However vanilla Android OS on Moto C Plus with no bloatware should keep the phone crisp and fast for long.
