LG Launches Smartphone With Dual Display For Rs 12,990


In an attempt to bring some sort of differentiation in the over crowded Indian smartphone market, LG on Monday launched a new smartphone LG X Screen that appears little different than the rest. The differentiating factor is the LG X Screen comes with dual display, means, it has two displays on its home screen – a primary one on bottom and a secondary on the top.

The primary display with 4.93 inch screen space is used for, ass the name suggests, for the primary functions like data usage. The secondary display of 1.76 inch lies on top of the primary display on the phone screen and can be used for frequently used apps, to check time, date, battery, answering calls etc. This display remains always ‘On’. The ‘Always On’ secondary display can be used without interrupting the activity that is going on the main display.

The LG X Screen comes with 13 megapixel rear camera and 8 megapixel front camera. The device is a mid-range smartphone and is powered by 1.2 GHz Qualcomm quad-core processor with 2 GB RAM and 32 GB internal storage capacity. The device runs on Android Marshmallow OS and offers connectivity on 4G LTE, Bluetooth 4.1, NFC and WiFi 802.11 b/g/n. The LG X Screen comes with 2300 mAh battery.

The LG X Screen comes in three different colors – black, white and pink gold, and is priced RS 12,990. As of now, this device can only be bought from Snapdeal’s e-retail platform.
