Honor Claims Shipping 10 Mn Honor 8X Phones In 5 Months

Honor, the smartphone-only brand from Huawei, Thursday claimed that it has shipped over 10 million Honor 8X smartphones since its launch in October last year. However, the company did not offer any market specific break-up.

The phone was priced Rs 14,999 in India for the base model.

Launched in October 2018, Honor 8X is comes withs a 6.5-inch Notch FullView Display with a 91% screen-to-body-ratio and chip-on-film (COF) technology.

The smartphone has dual-lens 20M + 2M rear and 16M front facing cameras which can leverage artificial intelligence (AI) to enhance photo quality based on what users are shooting.

The phone deploys octa-core Kirin 710 chipsets and offers storage space of 128 GB which can further be expanded upto 400GB using a microSD card.  The phone carries a  3750mAh battery.

The device runs on Android 8.1 Oreo, which is based on the company’s custom user interface EMUI 8.2. The smartphone is backed by a 3650mAh battery. Connectivity option includes 4G VoLTE, WiFi 802.11 ac (2.4 and 5GHz), Bluetooth 5, GPS, GLONASS and micro USB port. It measures 160.4 × 76.6 × 7.8 mm and weighs 175 grams.
