Samsung today will launch two smartphones that are primarily planned to take on Xiaomi Redmi series whose popularity helped the Chinese phone maker dethroned the South Korean major in the Indian soil. Placed under Galaxy M series, Samsung is launching two entry level phones – Galaxy M10 and Galaxy M20 this evening.

Galaxy M, M for millennials, will be a budget category series with the M10 expected to be priced around Rs 7000 and the Galaxy M20 could be around Rs 9000. We will come back with the exact price when it launches this evening.

The M10 may come in two variants, one with 2GB RAM and 16 GB internal storage and the other one with 3GB RAM and 32 GB internal storage. The M10 is expected to have 3500 mAh battery. The Galaxy M10 may come with dual camera setup as its primary camera. The price of the phones could range between Rs 6999 to Rs 7999.

Like the M10, the Galaxy M20 is expected to come with ‘V’ notch but with a bigger display – 6.3 inch. This one will also come in two variants – 3GB ROM and 32 GB RAM and 4GB ROM and 64 GB internal storage and will be powered by Exynos 7904 processor. The M20 will have dual camera at the rear as well as 8 megapixel front camera. The phones are expected to be priced in the range Rs 9999 to Rs 11999.
