Big Price Cut By Lava For Its Entry Level Smartphone Z91

LAVA, the Noida based domestic smartphone brand today slashed its entry level smartphone Z91’s price by Rs 2000. Initially they have launched this device at Rs, 9,999 in July.

The Z91 smartphone which is a 18:9 wide-screen display and comes with glass finish model with Dual-SIM and a 5.7 inch HD+ display (18:9) resolution, backed with 3GB RAM, Fingerprint Sensor and 2.5D curved design  will be now available at Rs 7,999.

Z91’s is also equipped with tough and scratch resistant screen is devised with a 3000mAh battery and powered by Mediatek Processor- coupled with 3GB of RAM and 32GB of internal storage, and an expandable memory upto 128 GB.  On the front the device has 8 MP camera and at the rear it’s embedded with 13 MP camera with flash, providing its users to click brighter and sharper pictures. Further, its Bokeh feature makes the photographs appealing by making the objects stand out from the background. The Z91 also has a FingerPrint Sensor. In this category Lava is  banking on face recognition feature, full screen display, and looks which are its USPs. LAVA is also offering one-time screen replacement at Rs. 2,500, in case screen breaks within one-year from the date of purchase.

Last month they also launch a camera centric smartphone Z81  which comes in two variants – 2GB and 3GB. 3GB variant was priced at Rs. 9499.

It is evident that India’s domestic smartphone players are very much struggling to compete with Chinese brands even in the entry level segment, despite Lava’s good hold in offline retail channels.Though the importance of Offline Channels has been underlined in recent times, with many online-only brands also opting to build their offline presence for further growth.As today the affordable and mid segment smartphone market is occupied by brands like Xiaomi, Samsung, Realme, Oppo, Vivo etc.
