New Nokia 105 Launched For Rs 999

HMD Global, which now owns to rights of Nokia for phones, has launched a new, refreshed third generation Nokia 105. The Nokia 105 Dual SIM and Single SIM variants will be available at retail stores across the country starting July 19.

The new Nokia 105 features an all new design, better battery life, and larger screen size and new keymat. The design is inspired by the Nokia phone design heritage. However it is built using new polycarbonate casing with inherent colour that minimises the visual impact of knocks and bumps.

Nokia 105 gets new island keymat features separated keys for improved usability, and gets larger 1.8-inch screen. Games like Snake Xenzia, comes preloaded. New Nokia 105 also comes preloaded with two try and buy games – Doodle Jump and Crossy Road.

Nokia 105 offers up to 15.7 hours talk time and a month long standby. It has enough storage space for up to 500 text messages and up to 2,000 contacts. Nokia 105 also features the ever popular LED torchlight.

Nubia M2 Now Available For All For Rs 22,999

ZTE’s smartphone brand, Nubia has announced that recently launched Nubia M2 is now available for sale to everyone on Amazon. Nubia M2 is priced at 22,999 and features a sleek 7 mm body encased in dual-diamond cut metal frame. It has dual camera setup with two 13 MP Sony CMOS censors, including RGB and Monochrome CMOS and gets a 16-megapixel front shooter for selfies.

The device can record everything in 4k resolution. The display 5.5 inch AMOLED unit with Full HD (1080p) resolution. Smartphone is powered by a Snapdragon 625 processor and paired with 4GB RAM & 64GB ROM.

Nubia M2 runs on an Android 6.0.1 and is powered by a 3630mAh non removable battery. It measures 154.50 x 75.90 x 7.00 (height x width x thickness) and weigh 168.00 grams.

The ZTE Nubia M2 is a dual SIM phone. Connectivity options include Wi-Fi, GPS, Bluetooth, USB OTG, 3G and 4G (with support for Band 40 used by some LTE networks in India). Sensors on the phone include Compass Magnetometer, Proximity sensor, Accelerometer, Ambient light sensor and Gyroscope.

Intex has launched a new smartphone, Aqua Selfie aimed at selfie lovers, featuring 5 megapixel front camera with selfie flash. The phone also features 8 megapixel rear camera with flash. The phone features 3000 mAH battery with fast charging capability and is priced at Rs 6649.

The Android 7.0 Naugat based smartphone runs on a 1.3GHz quad-core processor and 2GB RAM and offers 4G VoLTE connectivity. Intex Aqua Selfie comes with the big 5.5-inch HD IPS display. The smartphone has an in-built 16GB ROM with an expandable memory of up to 64GB.

Moto E4 Plus With 5000 mAh Battery Launched At Rs 9,999

Lenovo India today launched its latest smartphone, the Moto E4 Plus, in the Indian market. Moto E4 Plus, a part of Motorola’s E series smartphones, is a budget phone and is priced at Rs 9,999.

The phone comes with Android’s latest OS, the Nougat. Interestingly, the phone comes with 5000 mAh battery despite being a budget phone.

Moto E4 Plus looks similar to the Moto G5 smartphones with the slightly curved back. The phone sports a metal uni-body design which lends it a premium feel. A very prominent round rear camera unit, antena lines running across top and bottom are some of the other design elements. The front home button has the fingerprint scanner embedded inside it.

Moto E4 Plus features a 5.5-inch HD resolution display (1080 x 720 pixels), Qualcomm Snapdragon 425 quad-core processor, 3GB RAM coupled 32GB internal storage space. The rear camera is a 13Megapixel unit, while the front camera is 5MP supported by flash. The Moto E4 Plus runs the latest Android Nougat 7.1.1. Motorla is also shipping a 10W rapid charger which becomes all the more important given the size of the battery which would have otherwise taken forever to charge.

Motorola Moto E4 Plus is not water resistant however it does feature a water-repellent coating to protect your smartphone against splashes, etc. This 4G LTE device also features Bluetooth version 4.1 LE, Wi-Fi 802.11a/b/g/n, Accelerometer, Proximity, Ambient light, Magnetometer (e-compass) and Fingerprint reader.

The company also launched another phone in the E series – the Moto E4. This is a 5 inch device with HD display and runs on Android 7.1.1.

The phone features 8MP autofocus camera at the back and 5 megapixel camera at the front. The phone carries 2800 mAh battery. The phones will be available on Flipkart.

Besides, the phone comes with data bundling packages from Jio as well as Idea Cellular.

Samsung Galaxy On Max, which was announced recently is now available for purchase through Flipkart at a price of Rs 16,900. The Galaxy On Max, which supports Samsung Pay Mini, is similar to Samsung Galaxy J7 Max, which is the offline model with only difference being the processor, On Max uses a MediaTek Helio P20 SoC, while J7 Max gets a MediaTek Helio P25 Lite SoC.

Smartphone is available in Black and Gold colour variants. There is a discount of Rs. 2,000 for buyers using Standard Chartered credit and debit cards. The Galaxy On Max competes with the Oppo F3, Moto G5 Plus, Oppo F1s, Honor 8, Honor 8 Lite, and even the Samsung Galaxy J7 Prime.

The dual-SIM Samsung Galaxy On Max runs Android 7.0 Nougat, and sports a 5.7-inch full-HD (1080×1920 pixels) display. The smartphone is powered by an octa-core MediaTek MTK P25 SoC, coupled with 4GB of RAM and 32GB ibuilt storage which can be expanded by up to 256GB.

Smartphone gets 13-megapixel sensors and LED flash both on the front and back. The front sensor is coupled with a f/1.9 aperture lens, while the rear sensor is coupled with a f/1.7 aperture lens, which the company claims provide great low-light performance. There are somesoftware related features like Social Camera Mode as well for instant sharing of photos.

Smartphone offers 4G VoLTE, weighs 178 grams and is powered by a 3300mAh battery. The Samsung Galaxy On Max also sports a fingerprint sensor on the home button. It also supports Samsung Pay Mini, which was launched in India last month alongside the Samsung Galaxy J7 Pro and Galaxy J7 Max. It supports UPI-based payments and integrates a mobile wallet, but does not get NFC and MST-powered offline tap-to-pay features.

LG Q6 with Full vision display launched, will get affordable pricing

LG (Electronics) has announced the launch of LG Q6 smartphone. LG aims to offer premium features at a competitive price through new Q series of which Q6 is the first.

LG Q6 features 5.5-inch FHD+ FullVision display with 18:9 aspect ratio. The display gets “bezel-less” though it actual gets less bezel and that according to company has retained to prevent accidental touching of the screen when being held.

The Q6 family consists of the Q6+, Q6 and Q6α. The three variants offer different memory and storage options with Q6+ getting 4GB of RAM and 64GB of ROM, the base Q6 gets 3GB of RAM and 32GB of storage and the most affordable Q6α offers 2GB RAM and 16GB of ROM.

LG Q6 runs on Qualcomm Snapdragon 435 Soc and 3000mAH battery. The phone gets the latest Android 7.1.1 Naugat operating system. It features a minimalist design, no camera bump, rounded corners of the body matching the corners of the display and has been packaged in metallic frame.

The phone also features LG’s proprietary Face Recognition feature. The smartphone incorporates a 100-degree wide angle 5 megapixel selfie camera. The rear camera is a 13 megapixel unit.

“The LG Q6 is a blend of premium features, great performance and attractive pricing, a combination that is extremely important to us as we look at the way consumers are using smartphones around the world,” said Juno Cho, president of LG Electronics Mobile Communications Company. “The Q series is our way of getting the superb experiences with the essence of the LG’s premium line-ups to more consumers’ hands and pockets.”

The LG G6 has said that it will start selling the phone in key markets in Asia starting next month and will be rolled out in Europe, Latin America and North America later. No pricing has been announced so far, however we expect it to be priced between Rs 14,000 to Rs 20,000.

Vivo X9s, X9s Plus launched, features dual selfie camera

Vivo has launched the successor to last years X9 and X9 Plus smartphones in China yesterday. Vivo X9s and Vivo X9s Plus are both selfie camera focused phone sporting dual front camera with 20 megapixel and 5 megapixel mix. They are priced at Chinese currency equivalent of Rs 25,665 and 28,520 respectively. The X9s Plus will go on sale from July 8 while X9s will go on sale from July 20. The smartphones come in gold, rose gold and matte black colour variants. No dates for India launch has been announced.

Front camera of the phones also feature soft LED flash and f/2.0 aperture. The rear camera setup consists of a 16-megapixel shooter with f/2.0, PDAF and a LED flash.

The Vivo X9s has a metal unibody design and features a 5.5-inch full HD AMOLED display with a resolution of 1080 x 1920 pixels. It is powered by 1.8GHz Octa-Core (Quad 1.8GHz ARM Cortex A72 + Quad 1.2GHz A53) Snapdragon 652 processor, along with Adreno 510 GPU. Both get 4GB RAM, and 64GB of internal storage. Moto E4 Plus to be available only on Flipkart from July 12

Moto E4 Plus is going to be available in India through Flipkart from 12th July noon. Motorola has announced this through their Twitter handle. Moto E4 Plus comes with a 5000 mAh battery, which is the highlight of this smartphone. This battery is supposed to last two days.

While the price of the phone has not yet been announced we expect it to be priced below Rs 12,000. Moto E4 which is currently available and gets smaller 2800mAH battery is selling for Rs 8,999.

Honor 8 Pro with 128GB storage launched, priced at Rs 29,999

Huawei’s sister brand Honor has launched Honor 8 Pro in India priced at Rs 29,999 to sold exclusively through Amazon.in. The phone gets a comprehensive update to Honor 8 and gets dual camera setup just like its predecessor and features top of the line specifications, a premium glass and metal design and a huge battery.

While the exact release date has not been announced, company said that the phone would be available soon. The smartphone is available in two color options – midnight black and navy blue.

The phone gets a uni-body all metal design with matt finish and all glass finish in the front.  The sides are curved and the smartphone has a screen to body ratio of 79%. The smartphone is powered by Huawei’s own HiSilicon Kirin 960 processor clocked at 2.6GHz paired with 6GB of RAM and Mali G71 GPU, a 4,000mAh battery.

Flagship Kirin 960 SoC has also been used in Huawei P10 and Mate 9 and is claimed to offer 18% faster CPU and the GPU is 180 percent faster than the one found on the Honor 8.

The Honor 8 Pro comes with a 5.7-inch Quad HD display with a pixel density of 515 ppi, whopping 128GB of internal storage which can further be expanded by another 128GB using microSD card and a fingerprint sensor at the back.

The Honor 8 Pro runs on Huawei’s EMUI 5.1 running atop Android 7.0 Nougat and supports 4G LTE, Bluetooth 4.2, Wi-Fi 802.11 and GPS/A-GPS.

The smartphone gets dual camera setup at the rear – a primary 12MP RGB (color) sensor and a secondary 12MP monochrome (black and white) sensor with both having an aperture of f/2.2. The rear camera also comes with phase detection and laser autofocus and a dual-LED flash. The front camera on the other hand uses 8MP sensor with an aperture of f/2.0 and the ability to capture video in up to 1080p resolution.

In this dual camera setup the monochrome sensor captures a lot of data, which then is used to process images so that they have better details, especially in low light. Just like the OnePlus 5, the dual camera setup also allows you to take bokeh shots – images with depth of field effects. Monochrome unit can also be used in standalone mode to capture black and white images.
