Infocus Vision 3 Pro With MediaTek Processor Launched For Rs 10,999

InFocus on Thursday launched one more smartphone in the Indian market. Named InFocus Vison 3 Pro, the smartphone comes with a MediaTek processor and is priced at Rs 10,999. The phone will br available on Amazon stating today.

The InFocus Vision 3 PRO comes with the latest Face ID Unlock feature that allows the users to unlock the smartphone in 0.5 seconds by placing it in front of them. The camera detects the face and responds by unlocking the smartphone. The InFocus Vision 3 PRO comes loaded with 4GB RAM and 64GB internal memory that can be extended upto 128 GB.

The Vision 3 Pro comes in 5.7 inch screen size with 18:9 display and looks almost bezel-less. The phone offers 1440×720 pixel resolution and comes with HD IPS display. The display area is protected with a 2.5D curved tempered glass. The phone is powered by MediaTek MT6750 octa core 1.5 GHz processor coupled with 4GB RAM and 64 GB internal memory. This storage space, however, can be expanded up to 128 GB using external memory cards.

In the camera department, the InFocus Vision 3 Pro comes with dual camera as its primary snapper. The rear dual camera comprises of an 13 megapixel camera that comes with PDAF and F2.0, and another 8 megapixel camera with 120 degree wide angle lens. The front selfie camera is an 13 megapixel snapper and comes with front flash.

The InFocus Vision 3 Pro runs on Android 7.0 and is VoLTE enabled. The phone carries a 4000 mAh battery.

Intex Launches New Smartphone Uday, Partners With Multiple Retailers


Intex today launched a new smartphone. The smartphone is named Intex Uday and is priced at Rs 7,999. To sell this phone, the firm has partnered with multiple retail outlets of Pune including Kensha Mobiles, Mehta Telecom, Manik Mobile Shopee and The Corner Mobile.

The Intex Uday comes in 5.2 inch screen size with HD IPS display having 1280×720 pixel resolution. The phone is powered by 1.3 GHz quad core MediaTek processor with 3 GB RAM and 32 GB of internal storage space. The internal memory, however, can be expanded up to 128 GB.

The smartphone sports 13 megapixel rear camera that comes with autofocus and flash. Similarly, the front camera is a 5 megapixel snapper and comes with selfie flash as well.

The phone runs on Android 7 OS and is VoLTE ready. The Intex Uday carries a 2800 mAh battery and the company claims the device offers a talktime of 6 to 7 hours and a standby time of 7 to 8 days.

The Intex Uday is priced at Rs 7,999 but Reliance Jio is offering a cashback of Rs 2,200 if a Jio connection is used along with this phone. The Rs 2,200 cashback will be applicable for both existing and new Jio customers and the buyer needs to get their recharge with Rs 198 or Rs 299 plans, after which the cashback vouchers can be redeemed on subsequent recharges with any of the recharge packs by Jio. The telecom operator will be providing the eligible Intex device users with 44 cashback vouchers worth Rs 50 each, which will be credited to the MyJio App and can be redeemed later.

Apple Launches Red iPhone 8 And 8 Plus; India Availability In May

Apple on Monday launched a special edition of iPhone 8 and 8 Plus that come in red color. The ‘red’ color in the iPhones symbolises the company’s association with Product (RED), an organisation that helps and supports the AIDs patients. The company said a share of the proceeds from the sale of red iPhone 8 and iPhone 8 Plus would go to that organisation.

“A portion of proceeds for all (PRODUCT)RED purchases go directly to Global Fund HIV/AIDS grants that provide testing, counseling, treatment and prevention programs with a specific focus on eliminating transmission of the virus from mothers to their babies,” Apple said in a statement.

The Cupertino based technology giant has been supporting (RED) since 2006 and has donated more than $160 million to the Global Fund, serving as the organization’s largest corporate donor.

Both phones sport a beautiful glass enclosure in red color, with a matching aluminum band and a sleek black front. The special edition (PRODUCT)RED iPhone will be available to order online in select countries and regions starting tomorrow and in stores beginning Friday, April 13.

The red iPhone 8 comes in two variants – 64 GB and 256 GB with a starting price of $699 in the US. While this special edition iPhone 8 and iPhone 8 Plus will be available in the markets of the US, UK, Australia, Chna etc from April 13, the same will be available in later part of April in some other markets including Brazil, Malaysia, Thailand, Saudi Arabi and Russia.

The red iPhone 8 and 8 Plus, however, will come to in India sometime in May, the company said.

Besides, Apple also introduced a new (PRODUCT)RED iPhone X Leather Folio, which will be available beginning tomorrow.

Phones Nokia Launched At MWC 2018


As was expected, Nokia on Monday launched a slew of smartphones at the ongoing MWC 2018. HMD Global, the seller and distributor of Nokia phones,  announced four new additions to its Android smartphones portfolio. The new phones that Nokia launched at MWC 2018 include Nokia 8 Sirocco, Nokia 7 Plus, new Nokia 6 and Nokia 1.

In addition to these new Android smartphones, the company also relaunched the Nokia 8110, once one of the most popular phones from the Finnish brand. The Nokia 8110, a slider phone, comes in 4G and offers apps including Google Assistant, Google Maps, Google Search, Facebook and Twitter.

Three new Nokia smartphones – the Nokia 8 Sirocco, Nokia 7 Plus and the new Nokia 6 –  are part of the Android One family. The phones are integrated with artificial intelligence and security solutions from Google.  These phones will come with Android Oreo.

Nokia 8 Sirocco: The smartphone comes in 5.5 inch curved edge-to-edge pOLED 2K display and has a stainless steel frame which is claimed to be two and half times stronger than 6000 series aluminium. The display is protected by 3D corning Gorilla glass 5.

The Nokia 8 Sirocco comes with ZEISS optics equipped dual lens primary camera and a secondary 13 megapixel sensor with 2x optical zoom.  The phone will be available from early April. Though the India price is not unknown yet, the global price of the Nokia 8 Sirocco will e  €749.

Nokia 7 Plus: This is a 6 inch device with 18.9 full HD display and built upon Qualcomm Snapdragon 660 mobile platform. The phone has got 12 megapixel rear camera and a 13 megapixel from camera that comes with 2x optical zoom. The Nokia 7 Plus carries a 3800 mAh battery.

The Nokia 7 Plus comes in two colors – Black/Copper and White/Copper – and will be available from early April at a global average retail price of €399.

The New Nokia 6: This is a new version of its already launched smartphone Nokia 6, however it comes with multiple improvements. The phone is said to be 60% faster than its predecessor and now offers enhanced Dual-Sight, ZEISS optics, USB-C fast-charging, a more compact screen-to-body ratio, Nokia spatial audio and pure, secure and up-to-date Android Oreo.

The Nokia 6 comes with Qualcomm Snapdragon 630 Mobile Platform and is available in two variants – 3GB RAM/32GB ROM, which will be available in early April, or 4GB RAM/64GB ROM coming later. The new Nokia 6 is priced at €279.

Nokia 1: This is a mass market phone and comes with 1 GB RAM. The phone runs on Android Oreo Go edition and offers access to Google Play Store. One can use popular apps like WhatsApp, Facebook and Instagram to mobile banking with this device. Available from early April in Warm Red and Dark Blue to fans around the world, the Nokia 1 will retail for a global average retail price of $85.

Nokia 8110 : Apart from the above phones that Nokia launched at MWC 2018, the Finnish firm also brought back the Nokia 8110, used to be hugely popular during the firm’s heydays. Now the phone makes a comeback with its 4G avatar.

With a familiar and easy to use interface, it features intuitive tactile mechanics, with slide to answer and end calls, as well as an addictive helicopter style spin on its axis. Comio, a 6 month old smartphone company, on Thursday launched two new smartphones in the Indian market. The smartphones – Comio C2 Lite and Comio S1 Lite – will be available at offline retail stores across North and West markets, and are priced at Rs 5,999 and Rs 7,499 respectively.

The Comio C2 Lite comes in a 5 inch screen size with HD IPS display. The phone is powered by a 1.3 GHz quad core processor with 1.5 GB RAM and 16 GB internal storage space. The devices sports 8 megapixel auto focus rear camera supported by LED flash and 5 megapixel front camera. The selfie camera is also supported by flash.

The dual SIM 4G phone has 3 slots – 2 for SIMS and one for micro SD card. The Comio C2 Lite carries 3900 mAh battery and operates on Android 7.0 Nougat OS.

The phone comes in three colors – metallic grey, sunrise gold and royal black – and is priced at Rs 5,999.

Xiaomi Launches Redmi Note 5, Redmi Note 5 Pro And Mi TV


Smartphone maker Xiaomi on Wednesday launched three new products in India – two smartphones and one TV. The smartphones that were launched are Redmi Note 5 and Redmi Note 5 Pro. The TV is a LED based smart televison and is called Mi TV. This is first time Xiaomi launched a TV anywhere outside China.

The Redmi Note 5, a successor to its hugely popular Redmi Note 4, is a 5.99 inch smartphone that comes with full HD display with 2160×1080 pixel resolution. The phone is powered by 2.0 GHz quadcore Qualcomm Snapdragon 625 processor. It comes in two variants – 3GB/32 GB and 4GB/64 GB – in terms of storage space. The Redmi Note 5 comes with 12 megapixel primary camera and 5 megapixel front camera which is supported by LED selfie flash.

The 4G VoLTE enabled Redmi Note 5 carries a 4000 mAh battery and the company claims it gives 14 hours of non-stop video playback time.

The Redmi Note 5 comes in four colors and will be available on Flipkart as well as offline stores at a price of Rs 9,999 for the 3GB version and Rs 11,999 for the 4GB one.

The company also launched  a superior version of the Redmi Note 5 – the Redmi Note 5 Pro. This one has got the same display size as the Redmi Note 5 but comes with a more powerful processor – the Qualcomm Snapdragon 636 processor. The Redmi Note 5 Pro also comes in two variants – 6GB/64GB and 4GB/64GB. The phone sports rear dual camera with 12 megapixel and 5 mega pixel snapper. The front selfie camera is of 20 megapixel and is equipped with LED selfie light.

The dual SIM 4G VoLTE phone carries a 4000 mAh battery as well and is priced at Rs 13,999 for the 4GB one and Rs 16,999 for the 6GB variant.

Both the devices come with fast charging, Bluetooth, GPS as well as fingerprint sensor. The Redmi Note 5 Pro, however, will support face identity. At this point the same is not available but the company says face detection will be offered over OTA by end of March.

Besides the two phones, the company also launched a LED smart TV for the first time in India. The Mi TV, the company claims, as the world’s slimmest smart TV and is just 4.99 mm thick. The 55 inch LED smart TV supports 4K and is priced at Rs 39.999.

Intex Launches 5 Inch 4G VoLTE Smartphone For Rs 3899


Intex Technologies, the makers of Intex branded smartphones and other accessories, on Monday launched a 5 inch smartphone which is capable of offering 4G VoLTE services, at less than Rs 4000. The new phone, Aqua Lions T1 Lite, is priced at Rs 3,899, and the company claims it as the cheapest 5 inch 4G VoLTE smartphone in the country.

The Intex Aqua Lions T1 Lite is a 5 inch device with 2.5D display and runs with Androd Nougat 7.0 OS. The phone is powered by 64 bit MediaTek 1.3 GHz Quad Core processor with 1 GB RAM and 8 GB internal storage. Though this storage space is too poor a feature at the current age of huge data consumption habits, the space can be upgraded to 64 GB using micro SD cards.

The dual SIM 4G VoLTE smartphone from Intex comes with 5 megapixel rear camera and 2 megapixel front camera. Both the cameras come equipped with flash.

The Intex Aqua Lions T1 Lite carries a 2200 mAh battery and weighs 156 gram.

The smartphone also comprises Intex Value Added Services like LFTY, DataBack and Prime Video. Optiemus Enters Bangladesh, Launches BlackBerry Keyone


Indian telecom equipment firm Optiemus Infracom Thursday announced its entry in the Bangladesh market with the launch of BlackBerry KEYone smartphone. The product will be a limited edition for Bangladesh market.

Optiemus signed a licensing deal with BlackBerry in February 2017 to design, manufacture and distribute BlackBerry branded smartphones in India, Sri Lanka, Bangladesh and Nepal. After successfully launching the BlackBerry KEYone in India and Sri Lanka, Optiemus has partnered with CPL, concern of Union Group, a business conglomerate in Bangladesh, to handle the distribution and retail operations of BlackBerry smartphones. Honor V10 Registration Starts From Tomorrow
