You can buy your favorite phone, the Moto Z, from today. Both Moto Z and Moto Z Play were launched in the first week of this month but they are going to be available from 17 October – today- at Amazon as well as Flipkart. The devices are priced at Rs 39,999 and Rs 24,999 respectively.

The Moto Z and Moto Z Play are the first set of modular smartphones launched by Motorola which is now owned by Lenovo.

What do you mean by Modular phones? Well, these two phones support a range of swappable accessories like external camera, projectors, speakers etc that can be connected to the Moto Z and Moto Z Play through magnetic ports.

These two phones along with the accessories are part of Motorola’s Moto Mod lineup.

The Moto Z comes with 5.5 inch screen size with AMOLED display offering 535 ppi (pixels per inch), which is one of the highest in the industry. It deploys Qualcomm Snapdragon 820 quadcore 1.8 GHz processor with 4 GB RM and 64 GB internal storage.

Camera wise, the primary camera is of 13 megapixel with features like OIS, laser autofocus, almost nill shutter lag and f/1.8 aperture. The primary photography is supported by dual tone LED flash. The camera supports 4K video and besides regular functions, it can be used for scan barcodes and QR codes. The front camera is of 5 megapixel with f/2.2 aperture and is supported by flash.

The Moto Z is a dual SIM 4G VoLTE enabled smartphone with features like fingerprint sensor, NFC, Bluetooth, A-GPS, USB-C and comes with 2600 mAh battery.

The Moto Z Play comes with 5.5 inch full HD super AMOLED display and deploys Qualcomm Snapdragon 625 processor with 3GB RAM and 32 GB internal storage. It sports 16 megapixel rear camera with laser autofocus and flash and 5 megapixel front camera. The Moto Z Play comes with 3510 mAh battery.
