Japanese imaging company Kodak on Monday launched its latest smartphone in the Indian market. Named Kodak Ektra, the phone comes with 21 megapixel fast focus rear camera and is priced at Rs 19,990. The phone will be available from tomorrow on Flipkart.
London based Bullitt Group is the official distributor of the Kodak branded smartphones and the product is already available in the US and the UK.
“Driven by the enthusiasm from customers globally, we are thrilled to bring the Kodak Ektra to photo enthusiasts in India.,” said Peter Stephens, CEO Bullitt Group, a Kodak licensee for mobile devices.
Specification wise the Kodak Ektra comes with 5.5 inch screen and is powered by MediaTek Helio X20 2.3 GHz decacore processor. The phone comes with 3 GB RAM and 32 GB internal storage capacity which can further be expanded by using microSD cards. The phone has got a 21 megapixel primary camera and 12 megapixel front camera. The phone carries a 3000 mAh battery.
The highlight of this phone is its camera solutions. The custom built camera app is controlled by an intuitive haptic touch, SLR-style Scene Selection Dial, where adjustments are made in real time via a range of settings including HDR, Landscape, Portrait, Macro, Sport, Night-time, Panorama and Bokeh, alongside a Smart Auto mode which auto-selects the best conditions for your photographs. In Manual mode, more advanced users can adjust exposure, ISO, focus, white balance and shutter speed, with the results being visible on the screen as changes are made.
The company says the phone uses ARCSOFT Night soft technology that gives high quality low light and night-time photography. Also the Kodak Ektra uses a Kodak certified lens coating enabling even more light to reach the sensor, as well as reducing ISO noise, brightening underexposed areas and stabilising blur from slow shutter speeds.
The Phone also comes preloaded with Scanseed app that gives varieties of image editing options on the go.
