Garmin Launched Waterproof Camera VIRB Ultra 30


Garmin India just launched the VIRB Ultra 30, a waterproof action camera with the power to shoot Ultra HD footage at 4K/30fps. The VIRB Ultra 30 is the latest offering from Garmin’s consumer automotive and camera segment.

VIRB Ultra 30, conveniently small and lightweight would be a purpose-built action camera for users to tailor and relive their adventurous VIRB footage. Its has a high precision sensors and GPS that enable the action camera to automatically gather G-Metrix data to display the user’s adventure activity status.

The ingenious VIRB Ultra 30 is also loaded with features like voice control, an LCD color touchscreen, one-touch live streaming and 3-axis image stabilization.

The VIRB Ultra 30 is loaded with 12 megapixel camera that captures Ultra HD video at 4K/30fps and secures slow motion video at 720p/240fps. It has a 3-axis image stabilization for steady footage regardless of the terrain. The VIRB Ultra 30 accepts a microSD card and includes a high-sensitivity microphone. The LCD color touchscreen is designed to work in and out of the waterproof case. It also comes with Sensory Truly Handsfree voice control.

User can use the free Garmin VIRB app to share high-definition VIRB Ultra 30 videos in real-time by streaming live to YouTube and upload videos on social media sites such as Facebook and on Garmin Connect.

Accessories Firm Capdase Partners YMS Mobitech, Eyes $60 Mn Revenue


HongKong based mobile accessories firm Capdase has joined hands with YMS Mobitech, an app-based retail firm for the distribution of its products. Doing this, the firm hopes to do a business of $10 million its first year of its operation and $60 million in next three years.

“While the accessories segment mirrors growth in the smartphone market, demand for varied and top-of-the line accessories is set to grow multi-fold in India. Phase 1 of our partnership with YMS Mobitech will involve reaching out to the metros and over 100 tier-1 cities and towns. Our target is to reach sales in excess of 10 mn USD in the financial year 2017-18, and grow from there,” said Roy Chan, Channel Head-Asia Pacific, Capdase.

Capdase’s top product line includes Armour Suit Case for iPhone 7 & 7+, Quick Charger for car and wall charger, High protection tempered glass for most of the smart phone models, lifestyle car mint series, amongst others. It had sold more than 100 million accessories in 2016.


The firm has its presence in markets like China, Indonesia, Philippines and HongKong. In India, the company is also planning to set up its manufacturing unit.

By partnering with YMS Mobitech, the accessories firm would get an instant push by reaching the retailer’s over 11,000 outlets across 383 cities in the country.

Recently Chinese smartphone maker Xiaomi has also tied up with YMS Mobitech to distribute its range of accessories in key states of Eastern India. The e-distribution company is also the Distributor (West Zone) for end-to-end sale of LeEco Mobiles in India.
